琥珀的奇幻世界

蜚蠊目就是俗稱的蟑螂，其化石記錄最早可以追溯至三億五千萬年前的石炭紀。蟑螂是琥珀中的常客，與它喜歡出沒於陰暗潮濕的樹皮間隙有很大關係。在琥珀中常見1公分以內的若蟲，超過2公分以上的大型成蟲掙脫力強，較為罕見。

Blattaria are the so-called cockroaches. Their fossil record dates back to as the earliest as the Carboniferous 350 million years ago. Cockroaches are frequently seen in amber, which has something to do with its preferred appearance between gaps in the bark. In amber, nymphs within 1 cm are common, while large adults more than 2 cm with more strength to free themselves are rarer.
