琥珀的奇幻世界

等翅目就是白蟻這個大家族，它們名字裡雖然有個蟻，但是和膜翅目中的螞蟻卻是完全不同的兩種昆蟲。它們是最早期的社會性昆蟲，在分工制度下各司其職。白蟻的一生與植物脫不了關係，因此是琥珀中常見的大型昆蟲之一，雖然並非罕見物種，不過它們特殊的外型與生活習性在琥珀中留存下許多有趣的特殊畫面。

Isoptera are the big family of termites (bai-yi in Chinese). Sharing the same yi (ant) in the Chinese name, they are a completely differend kind of insects from ants of Hymenoptera. They are the earliest social insects, cooperative under division of labor. The life of termites is so attached to plants that they are one of the common large insects in amber. Despite not a rare species, their special forms and living habits have left many interesting scenes in amber.
